Enjoyed the Richard Dawkins interview last night - It is good to be exposed to different perspectives on important issues and to question traditional teachings.

I agree with your comment Amy. I am not a religious person but it is good to get a variety of perspectives on the issues. The Hour had a few notable Christians on the show this season so it was good to hear another perspective.
I read some of the posts at The Hour blog about the interview. I suppose I should not be surprised to read some of the hostile responses - both pro and con. Such a heated subject.
Though I must say I am a little shocked that some people do not see the value of science. Is it from lack of exposure to the scientific method? I clearly remember learning about it in elementary and high school.
I enjoyed it too. I love the personal defence George presented for his friends who are christian or have a religious faith in God.
I have read many books about God... I am not a follower of religion but God is a good friend of mine... she has helped me through many things. What can be more real and true than getting though the hard times with a little faith.
I listened to most of the show on the weekend and I thought Alex and Bob did a good job. (plus the "intern" LOL)
I was quite impressed with the Kinneret Boosany interview. Sadly, yet another example of man’s inhumanity to man.
During the interview I was thinking to myself how in the Western world, we take our personal safety for granted. We really don’t have to fear a visit to the local coffee shop or grocery store. We typically don’t have to look at a stranger and wonder about their intentions. I cannot imagine what it must be like to live like that on a daily basis.
I really enjoyed the Eddie Izzard. I like his stand up and his performances, but him just chatting is really cool.
