Hi Erika. We are not groupies. The Hour is our hobby. We are a group of very diverse bloggers who enjoy many topics. We all have other blogs and some of the group have a food blog called Food Porn they write with other bloggers.
I think calling ourselves stroumbi is fun. There must be something that peaks your interest more than average like , music, art, movies, books? Something you would go out of your way to promote like politics or charity... Whatever floats your boat. Who's to judge?

I can't remember when I stumbled across this blog but I do know that I have always enjoyed my time spent on it. I remember one night this summer when we were all blogging about different music we liked. It was such a fun night.
I love the feeling of connecting with people all across Canada on topics of interest.

I think I speak for the group when I say we love our regulars, and typically the conversation verges to anything and everything but George. Like the music posts this summer, those were all very enjoyable, and I hope for more in the future!

i do have one thing to say about erika's post(and i do believe to each their own)i think a correction is in order. i am pretty sure he has had groupies LONG before this. :)

Sometimes I wish life were a simple as just being a groupie. But we aren't and it's not.
The Hour knows how to give us what we want... I would say a lot of people are involved in that process and they all get credit for the fine delivery. There is no shame in that.
On a personal note,
My Guy thinks I know way too much about George... he may have a point.;-) I think even George would agree.

B- You make me laugh. I love your little side notes about what George might be up to and posting on his myspace about "now back to the 'your hot stuff'" Was really quite funny!!! I LOL.
Anyways I am even more excited that GS is going to be in Calgary next weekend. It is causing quite a stir here. He has groupies out here for sure and while I can't really say if I am one yet I can sure say that I know some and think that it is a great thing to be a groupie of Strombo...so maybe that does make me one...anyways.
I mean come on... just look at some of the other people that have a following... what have they done for the world? You know? George is really quite intelligent and well spoken so in terms of groupieness, I think is ALRIGHT.
Of course it depends on your interpretation of the word groupie.
I like fan better.
What I forgot to say J, was I am excited for you and I know you are going to have a memorable time with George in attendance.
