Bruce Sprinsteen "Thunder Road" and Dallas Green Tonight On The Strombo Show

Tonight George revisits Bruce Springsteen's 1975 "Thunder Road", as the Nod To The Gods. 

Dallas Green also stops by the Broom Closet to chat and to perform an acoustic set.

As always there will be the Magnificent Seven, the top seven songs of the week,

 Ten O'Clock With Tom (Waits),

and lastly, George tucks you into bed for The Big Lie Down, or The Collective Horizontal, with the mellowest of tunes.

 This past week George has been tweeting up a storm about something cool happening Thursday.

His public tweets on Dec 6th to people like Amber Mac, Carlos Diaz and broadcaster Jim Richards promised something cool for TRONtonians that he was working on that would happen Thursday and ask everyone to be ready for it! The word spread and these teases continued until the Big reveal Thursday the 9th in the early evening.

George Stroumboulopoulos along with Disney and the CN Tower presented the world wide premier of the movie Tron's Legacy.The first people to show up for the tweetup at the CN Tower got to be the first to see Tron's Legacy inside the CN tower's theater. Included in this fun, free evening is a ride up to the top for an amazing photo op!
I was not there but I heard back from people who went that they loved Tron, Jeff Bridges' acting and the music by Daft Punk. They had a great time! More pictures can be found here

The Hour

Behind the scenes, the show currently known as The Hour, is being revamped and ramped up to be ready for season seven in September.

Both the radio show and the TV show will have changes.

We don't know what those changes will be exactly. More website content was talked about at the expense of  less On Air content. 
If true, that is not fair for people that don't have or use the internet. Bonus for the people that can't schedule watching The Hour when it is being broadcast on TV.  They can watch all they want of it and more when they have the time. 
From what I understand, the numbers of viewers  that check out the show's website,  http://www.cbc.c a/thehour/  and online content, inspire the innovative direction the show may be taking. 

We'll  find out those new changes soon enough.
