We were very happy to hear the news that George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight is going to have a tenth season. Can't wait to hear what new ideas George and the team have for next September.

TELEVISION ANNOUNCES 21 RENEWALS, EXPANDED
SEASONS OF HIT SHOWS, AND NEW TITLES FOR 2013-14
April 3, 2012 – CBC Television, currently in year two of a
three-year plan to manage funding cuts, today confirmed a number of new and
returning shows for 2013-14, including a brand new season of BATTLE OF THE BLADES, expanded (full)
seasons of MURDOCH MYSTERIES and REPUBLIC OF DOYLE, a mini-series based
on the award-winning Canadian novel THE
BEST LAID PLANS (PDM Entertainment), and a television movie adaptation of THE BOOK OF NEGROES (Conquering Lion
Pictures).
“We are very proud that,
despite a very challenging financial climate, CBC continues to deliver a
television schedule that features strong, proven Canadian programming along
with some new made-in-Canada titles,” said Christine
Wilson, Executive Director, Content for CBC English Services. “With a
lineup that will also feature the Sochi
2014 Olympic Winter Games and a full season of Hockey Night In Canada, it is shaping up to be another great year
for CBC Television.”

Aw congrats to the GST Team! I was happy to see The Rick Mercer Report was renewed as well!
I wish we could get a full hour of GST back! He just gets into the interview and it's time to move on that silly panel. I miss G reviewing headlines and teaching me about Canada.
Ah well. I keep watching it. ;)
They always come up with new ideas for the new season. I don't know if they will keep the panel. Ali Hassan just got a CBC Radio One gig hosting Laugh Out Loud.
